Mrs. Glenda Ruth Smith, age 77, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Monday, October 2, 2017 at her home. She was born May 1, 1940 in Whitfield County, a daughter of the late AC Babb and Clara Lingerfelt Densmore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edward Smith, brothers, Charlie Ray Babb, David Randall Babb, Anthony Edward Babb, sisters, Phyllis Ann Babb, Louise Martin.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Charlene Smith of Dalton, GA, Robert Lamar and Tonya Smith of Ringgold, GA, Stuart Smith, Jackie Smith of Rocky Face, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Clara and Billy Rittenhouse of Dalton, GA, Julia Marlene Blassingame and Jimmy Clark of Atlanta, GA, Paulette and Paul Knight of Rocky Face, GA, Anita Conner and Troy Jones of Dalton, GA, Melinda and Moises Sanchez of Tunnel Hill, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Dwight and Linda Babb of St. Mountain, GA, Rodney Franks of Dalton, GA, Pete Babb of Alabama; twenty three grandchildren, forty four great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Glenda Ruth Smith will be held Thursday October 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Tracy Baker and Vaughn Dalrymple officiating. Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
