Mrs. Glenda Fay Adams age 72 of Cohutta, GA, departed this life Tuesday May 19, 2015 in Savannah, GA in an automobile accident with her special friend Jerry Ernest. Glenda was born May 17, 1943 in Dalton, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Adams, parents, Thelma Cornet, John D. and Virginia Gillian. Sister, Joan Rymer, nephew, Rodney Gillian. She was the owner of Riverside Stone Works.
She is survived by her stepfather, Jack Cornett; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina L. Hammontree, Cindy and Wayne Owenby of Dalton, GA, Rita and Rick Fletcher; son and daughter-in-law, Wendall and Patti Cooper of Ringgold, GA; brothers and sisters, Vernon and Jeannie Gillian of Knoxville, TN, Lagonda and Carl Beavers, Tex and Betty Gillian, Billie Ann and Ronnie Phillips, Ricky Gillian all of Dalton, GA, Judy Bridges of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Josey and Jeramiah Cooper, Lynndi Fountain, Rick Jr. and Hunter Fletcher, Emily Rachel Ferro, John Travis Hammontree, Tekiesha Fretz, Charles Heard; great grandchildren, Church Fountain, Isabella Fletcher, Bryson Trent Ferro, Gage Martin Ferro, Amos Heard; nieces and nephews, Angie Dyer, Kym King, Kai Manis, Veranica Gribble, Michael Gillian, Chris and Scott White, Traci Kool, Natasha Gillian.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Glenda Fay Adams will be held Tuesday May 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Jack Cornett, Ben Clayton, and Wayne Owenby officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
