Mrs. Gladys Pell, age 96 Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, January 10, 2016.

Gladys Irene Crow Pell born in Dalton, Georgia was called home to be with her Lord Sunday January 10, 2016.

She was born October 2, 1919 in Dalton, Georgia. Gladys raised two daughters, enjoyed caring for various elderly neighbors, reading and gardening. She worked for many years in the carpet industry and retired from World Carpets.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edker R. Pell, daughter Clarice Irene Pell, her parents A.G. and Gertrude (Meers) Crow, grandson Scott Thomas, sister Mildred (Crow) Pell, brothers Buster Crow, Charley Crow, and Henry Crow.

She is survived by daughter Pam and son-in-law Todd Durham, daughter Donna Groves, three grandsons Steven Durham and wife Beth, Brent Durham and wife Jessica, Brian Groves and wife Candace, brother, Authur Crow of Colorado Springs, Colorado, six great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Durham, Cayla Hammontree, Anna Durham, Pierce Durham, Caleb Durham and Ruthie Durham. Nieces and nephews: Anne (Crow) Douglas, Lynn (Crow) Ingle, Greg Crow, Kathy (Crow) Newton, Gary Crow and Ralph Crow, as well as a host of friends.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday January 13, 2016 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Ponders Funeral Home in Dalton. The funeral will follow immediately with burial at Poplar Springs Baptist Church on Waring Road in Dalton.
