Mrs. Gladys Juanita Ball, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday evening, January 28, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Juanita was born March 10, 1937 in Murray County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Paul and Mamie Gilbert Brooks.  She was also preceded in death by her son, William Michael Ball, great-grandson, Easton Gage Smith, a son-in-law, Larry Pippin, sisters and brother-in-law, Hazel Stinnett, Betty and Henley Corne, brothers, Gene Brooks and Raymond Brooks and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Will and Nan Ball.

Juanita was retired from Dalton Public Schools where she worked many years in the cafeteria.  She was the rock of her family and lived her life for them.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Mack Ball of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Coy Bates of Cohutta, GA, Brenda Ball Pippin and John Roberts of Dalton, GA, Elizabeth Anne Hair and Dennis McCombs of Woodstock, GA, Joy and Emmy Chasteen of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Melissa Carr, Heather and Ken Cunningham, Mandy Pippin and Jon Wilson, Nathan Pippin, Michael Shane and Fawn Smith, Cody Brandon Hair, Zachary Taylor Hair, Hope and Joey Peterka; eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, Bentley Miller; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles Ball of Ringgold, GA, Floyd and Peggy Ball, Flossie Ball all of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Juanita Ball will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Dennis Chasteen officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her son at Antioch Cemetery with Nathan Pippin, Jonathan Wilson, Cody Hair, Zachary Hair, Travis Miller and Jon Wilson honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
