Mrs. Geralene Wheaton, age 81, of Cleveland, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 22, 1943, in West Point, Georgia, Geralene was the cherished daughter of the late Samule and Nora Blanks. She was preceded in death by her beloved children: Tony Rogers, Wayne Rogers, and Carrol Wheaton.

Geralene was known for her impeccable sense of organization and her love of home décor. She found joy in weekends spent exploring yard sales and flea markets. However, her greatest joys in life were her family, her grandchildren, and her deep faith. She loved reading her Bible and had a heart for ministry, dedicating her life to sharing the word of God with those around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Joseph Wheaton Sr. of Cleveland, TN; her sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel (Ronda) Wheaton of Cleveland, TN, and Joseph (Paula) Wheaton of Calhoun, GA; her daughters and sons-in-law, Laila (Ron) Otto of Michigan, and Rita (Aaron) Bogue of Plainville, GA. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Geralene Wheaton will be held Tuesday afternoon, July 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel, with Reverend Roy Smith officiating. She will laid to rest at Gordon Memorial Cemetery with Joseph Wheaton, Josh Wheaton, Jeremiah Wheaton, Spencer Wheaton, Skyler Wheaton and Sammy Wheaton serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 8, 2025
