Mrs. Geraldine "Gerri" Helen. Marquardt, age 76, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Thursday February 24, 2022 at Hamilton Medical Center. Gerri was born June 15, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Robert Gurrath and Jane Olsen Jensen. Gerri worked at Plant 72 in Customer Service before her retirement.

She was known best as 'Memaw' by all her close friends and family. Memaw was a very selfless woman who was constantly doing for others. She spent the majority of her free time baking cookies and making chocolate covered pretzels for everyone she came in contact with. She loved playing Phase 10, Rummikub, and Suduko with family and friends. Memaw mostly enjoyed going to the Bradley Wellness Pool to attend her water aerobics class as well as the Tunnel Hill auction every Friday night.

Memaw put a smile on everyone's face, and knowing her was the biggest blessing anyone could ever ask for.

Gerri is survived by his son, Bob Marquardt of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; daughter, Margo Davis of Roswell, Georgia; sister, Martha Marquardt of Morganton, Georgia; grandchildren, Bayley Marquardt, Ashley Marquardt, Lindsay Davis and Emily Davis.

The family will hold a celebration of life for Gerri at a later date.
