Gerald Dean, Jr., known to family and friends as "Jerry", passed away on Tuesday, April 30, at the age of 56.
A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jerry attended Brainerd High School and served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1981-1985. In 1986, he began a career at Culligan Company followed by years in the construction business.
After years of living in and around Chattanooga, Jerry moved to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Jerry loved cars, motorcycles and boats, and his favorite place to be was anywhere on the water. He had a huge heart, sharp wit, endless laugh, and made a pretty mean omelet. Jerry was larger than life, lived and loved hard, and would give you the shirt off of his back. His family will miss him so very much.
Jerry is survived by his wife Tiffany, daughter Sara-Jane Ferrin (David), son Jeremy Dean (Caitlin), grandchildren Jaida, Jude, Nevaeh, Sawyer, Mary Jo, and Wesley. He will also be remembered by his mother Ruth Lockridge (Walt), and sisters Lora Greene (Gary), Cindy Faucett (Rick), Tracy Dean, and Melissa Fikioris (Bill), as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Gerald Dean, Sr.
A service in memory of Jerry will be held later in the summer near his home in North Carolina.
