Mr. Gerald Buford Crenshaw, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, January 25, 2016 at his residence. Gerald was born October 21, 1934 in Woodland, Alabama, a son of the late Woodrow and Bernice Crenshaw. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lenner "Red" Crenshaw. He loved his family and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Denise and Jeff Calhoun of Old Fort, TN, Cynthia Doss of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frasier and Iris Crenshaw, Ronnie and Tammy Crenshaw; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and George Moore of LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, Natasha Goforth and Jason Ridley of Dalton, GA, Carla King and David Rymer of Ocoee, TN, Kayla and Wesley Loveless of Norfolk, VA, J.J. Calhoun of Old Fort, TN, Kenzie Doss of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Summer, Dayton, Ethan, Liam, Gabriel; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gerald Buford Crenshaw will be held Thursday January 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Marvin Brock officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in the United Memorial Gardens with Jase Crenshaw, Jason Ridley, Wesley Loveless, Scott Beaver, Justin Cochran and Tony Bartczak serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
