Mr. Gerald Morrison Beavers, age 58 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was born June 29, 1964 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Jerry Morrison and Charlotte Baggett Beavers. He was employed at Shaw Industries Plant 80 for 34 years. Gerald loved his family, especially his grandchildren. His friends were more like family. His kind, selfless, generous and solemn spirt made him such a wonderful man that everyone loved to know.

He is survived by his wife, Daphney Beavers of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Geoffrey and Jessica Beavers of Dalton, GA, Steve and Susie Massingill of Ohio, Cody Jones and Kaleigh Maciejewski of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Darlene Beavers of Dalton, GA, Faye and Chuck Strong of Cohutta, GA, Sue Crider of Dalton, GA; aunt and uncle, Judy and Jerry Long of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Jared Beavers, Jaxon Beavers, Catherine Massingill, Victoria Massingill; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gerald Morrison Beavers will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday June 8, 2023 from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Kelly Grant officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Geoffrey Beavers, Chris Hall, Steve Massingill, Cody Jones, Mitchell Arnold, and Ricky Cook serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
