Mr. Gerald David Barton, age 62, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Monday afternoon, May 17, 2021 at the local hospital in Dalton, Georgia. He was born June 26, 1958 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late James Doyle "Bill" and Dorothy Sumner Barton. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore and Clara Barton, Solomon and Martha Sumner.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Bramlett of the residence; special pet, Ziggie;  sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and James Ledford of Dalton, GA; stepson, Chad Bramlett of Chatsworth; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David Wiley and Tina Sampson of Rocky Face, GA; nieces and nephews, Carla Ledford, Baron Ledford, Jody Hodnett, Andy King.

Graveside service will be held Saturday May 22, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. from The United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
