Mr. Gearld Dennis Gentry, Sr. age 74, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Saturday November 21, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Gearld was born July 20, 1941 in Kingston, GA, to the late William Harvey Gentry and Mary Elizabeth Wright Gentry. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Hershel Gentry and Charles Gentry; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Verldon Patterson.

Mr. Gearld Dennis Gentry, Sr. is survived by his wife of 53 years, Glenda Gentry; son, Dennis and Nancy Gentry of Dalton. GA; daughters, Angie and William Richardson of Chatsworth, GA, Marlene and Anthony Faulknor of Sugar Valley; sister Inez and Chris Moon of Danielson, CT and Diane and Larry Wells of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Nick Gentry, Elea Hall, Danilelle Mize, Chelsie Faulknor , Marcus Owens and Kyle Faulknor.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gearld Dennis Gentry, Sr., will be held, Wednesday November 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Church of God of The Union Assembly, with the Rev. Stoney Kiser and Rev. Charlie Pratt Officiating. Gearld will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery following the service.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday November 24, 2015 from 5:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m.
