Mrs. Gail Lynn Cox Magness, age 54, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. She was born on May 30, 1959 in Cartersville, Georgia a daughter of the late Clay Cox.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Christy Vaughn of Rydal, GA daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Johnny Flanagan of Calhoun, GA; her mother Elise McIntyre Cox of Cartersville, GA, brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton and Brenda Cox of Canton, GA, Jimmy and Linda Cox of Cartersville, GA; sister and brother in law Cathy and Gene Meek of Dallas, GA. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Kyle and Leanne Flanagan and, Cody Vaughn and Chelsey Vaughn and One great grandchild Emma Flanagan.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gail Lynn Magness will be held Saturday May 17, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Joey Martin officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Oakhill Cemetery in Cartersville, Georgia, with Johnny Flanagan, Kyle Flanagan, Kevin Vaughn, Junior Garcia, David Ray and Lee Dunn serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to help cover funeral expenses.
