Mr. Fred Raymond Day, age 63, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his residence. Fred was born October 5, 1952 in Harlan, Kentucky, a son of the late Fred Raymond Day Sr. and Hannah Marie Lasley Day.
He is survived by loving wife of 42 years, Charlsie Day of the residence; son, Jeremy Alan Day of Dalton, GA; daughter, Christie Michelle Day Caldwell of Rossville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Ruby Day of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte Beasley of London, KY, Janice and Paul Smith of Grayhawk, KY; grandchildren, Branndon Day, Austin Day, Vance Caldwell, Matt Caldwell; niece, Barbara and William Croft of Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Fred Raymond Day will be held Friday, January 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Chuck Clark officiating. He will be laid to rest at the United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
