Fred David Christopher, age 87, of Attalla, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2022.

David was a loving and Godly Husband, Father, PawPaw, Son, Brother and Friend. He loved God, his family and church. He was born Fred David Christopher on March 13, 1934 and was one of fourteen children to William Harvey Christopher and Gertrude Crider Christopher. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army.

He married Frances E. Nicholson on January 6, 1956 together they had four children. Frances went to be with the Lord on June 1, 1987. He married Valeria Meeks Cline on November 19, 1988 and gained three sons and five daughters whom he welcomed with open arms. He spent his final days surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Christopher, his second wife Valeria Christopher, son, Fred David Christopher, Jr; daughter, Lori Michelle Christopher; brothers William Harvey Christopher Jr., John Henry Christopher, Bobby Christopher, Wendall Christopher; sisters, Betty Millsap, Billie Hawkins, Shirley Moore, Frances Rich, Linda Lois Christopher.

He is survived by daughters; Debbie (Scott) Glass, Lisa (Donnie) Edwards, Shelia (Stanley) Graben, Dawn (Randy) Malone, Stephanie (Brian) Thomas, Rebecca (Terry) Evans, Renee (LaWayne) Hilderbrand; sons Lonnie (Candy) Clifford Cline Jr., George Anthony Cline and Carter Mathew Cline; sisters, Lottie Grant, Flora Owens, Joyce Owens and Lorene Roberts; grandchildren; April Edwards, Brooke (Nathan) Gamel,  Caitlin Thomas, Zack Thomas, Kelly (Jason) Knight, Janna (Joseph) Rakestraw, Darrell (Casey) Hilderbrand, Rhett Hilderbrand, Dillion Hilderbrand, Jared (Rachel)  Cline, Cameron (Maggie) Cline, Noah Cline, Lonnie Isaac, Whitney Rowe, Logan Rowe, Bayne Cline (Sasha Rozelle); great-grandchildren, Gabriel Edwards, Luke Mason, Savana Church, Claire and Emily Knight, Jaden and Jeremiah Cline, Jamie and Jackson Rakestraw, Brady and Ruby Hilderbrand, Ryder and Romie Hiderbrand ( Kristen Hawk), Ollie Isaac (Ashley Murphree), Camden Isaac (Katie Williams) and Calliope Musselman (Justin Musselman). And a large number of nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Fred David Christopher will be held Saturday February 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Dale Brewer officiating. Fred will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with Nathan Gamel, Luke Mason, Bruce Owens, Jason Yarbrough and Tracey Owens serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Saturday February 5, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m.
