Mr. Franklin D. Thomas, 75, of Dalton, GA., departed this life, Saturday October 15, 2016 at the Quinton Memorial Health Care. Franklin was born March 25, 1941 in Murphy, NC, a son of the late Horace and Tina Loudermilk Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Hoyt, Carl, Ben and Clyde Thomas.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Anna Thomas of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Eric Begley of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Helen Morrow of Hiawassee, GA; grandchildren, Aidan Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Eric Begley, Jessie Begley.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Franklin D. Thomas will be held Tuesday October 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
