Mr. Frankie Lee Shoemaker, age 73, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life, Wednesday evening, November 28, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 18, 1945 on Fort Mountain, a son of the late J.B. and Maggie West Shoemaker. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Betty Sue Shoemaker sister, Darlene Shoemaker, granddaughter, Whitney Shoemaker, brother-in-law, Junior Posey.

He is survived by his wife of fifty one years, Carolyn Shoemaker of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Angela Shoemaker of Chatsworth, GA, Frankie Allen and Marie Shoemaker of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and James Truslow,  Tammy and Kenneth Sigers of Ellijay, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Patsy Shoemaker, Bobby and Kathy Shoemaker, Donald and Sheila Shoemaker, Danny and Sherry Shoemaker, Bobby Holder; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Rick Dyer, Sylvia Posey, Carolyn and Randy Ridley all of Chatsworth, GA; seventeen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Frankie Lee Shoemaker will be held Sunday December 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Andy Land and Shane Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel United Fellowship Church Cemetery with Frankie Shoemaker, Randy Shoemaker, James Truslow, Nathan Hawkins, Michael Shoemaker and Shane Smith serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
