Mr. Frank Linard Smith, Sr. age 81 of Dalton GA, departed this life Friday November 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 10, 1938 in Dalton, GA a son of the late Arthur Lee and Ruby Lee Patton Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Smith Jr., Bill Smith, sister, Elizabeth Smith, grandchild, Bridgett Bates, son-in-law, Henry Fee. He retired from the United States Army and Navy after 27 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Nellie Ruth Smith of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Frank Smith Jr. and Angie Smith of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Fee of Dalton, GA, Laura and Tony Quinn of Rocky Face, GA, Tammy and Brian Lackey of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Raymond Smith, Denver and Maggie Smith of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Junior Burkett of Rocky Face, GA, Betty Jean and Buddy Marchman, Janice Daugherty of Dalton, GA; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Frank Linard Smith, Sr. will be held Wednesday November 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Full Bible Trinity Free Church with Reverend Gary Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
