Mr. Frank D. Marple, age 75 of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Friday morning, April 08, 2016 at the local hospital surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born December 13, 1940 in Simpson, West Virginia, a son of the late Ezekiel Marple and Leatha Snider Marple. He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Ellis Marple, brother, Edward Lee Marple, sisters, Shirley Lewis and Betty Luvenda Stewart. He was also preceded in death by nineteen other brothers and sisters. Frank was a retired coal miner, a hard worker who loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Henry Marple and would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, August 25, 2016; daughter and son-in-law, Sharlotte and Anthony White; grandchildren, Bonnie Louise White and Ashley L. White; sister, Garnet Marple Allen all of Resaca, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Frank D. Marple will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Jason Pace and Pastor Tony Weaver officiating. Music will be provided by Allen Bunch. He will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens with Chris Dills, Jeffrey Allen, Terry Dills, James Carter, Tim Allen and Daniel Long serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
