Mrs. Frances Marie McPherson, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born September 13, 1942 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Clifford Russell and Delphia Ann Owen. She was also preceded in death by her husband James E. McPherson, daughter Pamela Daneen Mcpherson Cole, brothers Neil Owen, Jack Owen, sister Jane Hammontree.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Niki and Nathan Lawson, great grandson, James David Andrew Worley; daughter-in-law, Tammie Owens; sister-in-law, Phyllis Owen all of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Syble and Elbert Knight; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances Marie McPherson will be held Tuesday March 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Rick Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
