Mrs. Frances A. Head, 82, of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Monday evening, July 20, 2020 at Gordon Hospital in Calhoun. She was born September 12, 1937 in Calhoun, GA, a daughter of the late Joseph Andrew and Laura Gravely Hales. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Houston Head, son, Floyd Kenneth Head, daughter, Sylvia Head, brothers, Hoyt, Travis, and Otrell Hales, sister, Janell Wyatt.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammie Massingill and Ben Upshaw of Resaca, GA; son and daughters-in-law, Keith and Alicia Head of Ringgold, GA, Pamela Head of Dalton, GA; son-in-law, Steve Massingill of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Brandon and April Hays, Steve and Suzie Massingill, Jeremy Massingill and Ashley, Savannah Massingill and Jon, Kalei Head; great grandchildren, Bailey Hays, Catherine Massingill, Victoria Massingill; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances A. Head will be held Saturday July 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother George Cross officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
