Mrs. Frances Carroll, age 81, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, June 11, 2014 at the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia. Frances was born March 10, 1933 in Murray County, Georgia, a daughter of the late James Monroe and Agnes Mae Mauldin Forrest. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mickey Carroll and her brothers, Ben, J.M. and Bill Forrest. Frances was retired from World Carpet where she worked for over twenty years and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of over sixty-three years, Odis Carroll of the residence; son, Michael Carroll and his fiance, Leslie Lawrence of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Patricia McDonald of Dalton, GA; sister, Maudie Trollinger of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Caitlin McDonald, Kerry Jo and Glen Owenby, Shane and Michael Carroll; great-grandchildren, Wes Robinson and Sam Carroll; adoptive daughter, Sandy Carroll of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances Carroll will be held Monday, June 16, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend James Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Carroll Family Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia, with her close family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 12:00 noon Monday until the service hour.
