Mrs. Frances Lucille "Blondie" Stafford, 83, of the Nicklesville Community, departed this life Monday morning, February 25, 2019 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

Lucille was born on April 15, 1935 in Guan, Alabama, a daughter of the late William Claude and Beulah Green Johnson.  Along with her father and mother she was also preceded in death by brothers, Walter Johnson, Robert Johnson and William Johnson; sisters, Irene Page, Bessie Brewer, and Fannie Prater.  Prior to retirement Lucille had been employed by The Cozy Kitchen in Calhoun, and Springs Industries where she worked as an inspector.  She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Gordon L. Stafford of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Lynn and Bryan Roberts of Chatsworth, Georgia; sons, Jerry Stafford of Calhoun, and David Alan Stafford of Murray County; brother and sisters-in-law, Paul and Helen Johnson, Velma Johnson, all of Dalton, and Margaret Johnson of Calhoun; sister, Evelyn Hamby of Tifton, Georgia; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews survive,; several other family members, friends, and church family also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances Lucille Stafford will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Donald "Dino" Bishop officiating.  Mrs. Stafford will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Ricky Dean, Phil Hamby, Larry and Danny Wright, Roy Stafford, and James Muse honored to serve as pallbearers.

The Stafford family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ponders Calhoun Chapel and Wednesday after 11:00 AM until the service hour at Corinth Baptist Church.
