Mr. Floyd Maurice Stanley, age 68, of Lafayette, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, June 4, 2026, at his home. He was born September 30, 1957 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Floyd Eugene and Ella Mae Vaughn Stanley. He was also preceded in death by his son Eric Stanley, brother Roger Lee Stanley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Karen Stanley of the residence; children, Tristan Stanley of Lafayette, GA, Tabetha Stanley of Calhoun, GA; sister-in-law, Vicky Stanley of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Marah Layne Hannah, Gavon Lopez, Atalia Lopez, Veda Lopez, Kameron Stanley, Dakota Stanley; along with several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Floyd Maurice Stanley will be held Tuesday June 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. A church service will follow at 3:00 p.m. from the Swanson Baptist Church in Murphy, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
