Mr. Floyd Richard Hollis, age 74, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Regency Park. Mr. Hollis was born January 31, 1940, in Grundy County, Tennessee, a son of the late, Floyd Andrew and Vergie Johnson Hollis. He was a retired truck driver for Brown Industries.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Charlotte Ann Miolen Hollis of the residence; son and his fiance, Richard Glen Hollis and Nancy Haley; sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Kenneth Gaston all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Christopher and Jillian Alexander-Hollis of Chattanooga, TN, Bryan Hollis and his fiance, Blake Stefanick of Savannah, GA; nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Nancy, Judy, Bobby Jr., Amanda and Michael.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Floyd Richard Hollis will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Duane Smith officiating interment will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 5:00 p.m. until. 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday until the service hour.
