Mrs. Florence Delores "Guss" Bearden, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her residence. She was born April 15, 1943 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Chester Frank and Valeria Lee Wilson Epperson. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Epperson, Chester Epperson. She worked and retired from Walmart after 29 years.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Billy Bearden of the residence; children, Farkle Bearden and Bonnie Lewis of Roswell, GA, Tammy and Larry Burris of Shelbyville, TN; brothers and sister-in-law, Frank Epperson, Randy and Sandy Epperson of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Mary Stout of Dalton, GA; special friends, Jessica and Neal Foskey of Cohutta, GA; five grandchildren, Jonathan Edward and Racheal Seay, Cody and Alyssa Bearden, Samuel Burris, Taylor and Craig Bagby, Caleb Burris; six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends she considered family.

At her request she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers she requested donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
