Miss Flora Jean "Flo" Pratt, age 59, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday evening, July 17, 2015 at Erlanger Health Care in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Flo was born February 15, 1956 in Dalton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Wayman Paul Pratt and a sister, Wilene Kelley. Flo was a lifelong member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly. Her entire life was spent serving the Lord and ministering with her singing and playing the piano. She was the church pianist for many years.
She is survived by her mother, Joann Smith Pratt of Knoxville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Shannon Pratt of Knoxville, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Jake Hughes of Dalton, GA, Lynette and Paul Dunham of Knoxville, TN, Jarene Pratt of Rogersville, TN, and Mike Kelley of Loudon, TN; very special friend, Retha Brafford of Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Miss Flora Jean "Flo" Pratt will be held Monday morning, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of God of the Union Assembly with Reverend Paul Thomas Hughes and Reverend Charlie Bell officiating. Music will be arranged by Trey Starnes, Heritage, Sara Dunham and the Pratt Cousins. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with Blake Brafford, Stan Brafford, Henry Ledford, Allen Massengill, Jaron Faulknor, Staclyn Faulknor, Shantell Faulknor, Ron Oliver and Collier Redwine serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
