Mrs. Farrell D. Baynes age 88 of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Thursday December 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Farrell was born August 17, 1930 in Whitfield County, Georgia, a daughter of the late J. Frank and Ruth Massingill Langham. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of fifty-two years, J.A. "Buck" Baynes, a son, Roger Lee Baynes, a sister, Hattie Langham and brothers, J.M., George, John Phillip and Frank Langham.
Farrell was a 1950 graduate of Valley Point High School and worked briefly at Crown Craft Mills. Her true work was being a housewife and loving and raising a family. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Farrell was full of life and free as a breeze, and cared for others more than she did herself.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Renee Baynes; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Johnny Cloer, Reba and Dannie Green all of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Betty Seay of Dalton, GA; sisters-in-law, Annie Ruth Langham, Lorene Langham, Nancy Green, Bonnie Baynes; brothers-in-law, Willie Baynes and Henry Robinson all of Chatsworth, GA; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Farrell D. Baynes will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ed Kilgore officiating. Music will be arranged by Janice Ridley. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at New Hope-Kilgore Cemetery with her grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers,
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
