Mrs. Fairel Caraway, age 76, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday morning, August 12, 2013 at the local hospital. Fairel was born June 19, 1937 in Copper Hill, TN, a daughter of the late William C. and Bessie Ann Stuart Dalton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J D Caraway, brothers, Paul Dalton, Oliver Dalton, Glenn Dalton.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald J. Caraway, Anthony Caraway; grandchildren, Cody Allen Satterfield, Chaysun Lakodah Caraway all of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Roy Blane and Carla Dalton of Zebulon, GA; sister, Hazel Godfrey of Ellijay, GA.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Fairel Caraway will be held Friday August 16, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Terry Payne and Rev. Steve Spangler officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flower, the family request donations be made to the funeral home for the family.
