Mr. Everett Richard Greeson, age 94, of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his residence on the same road, just around the bend, from where he was born at his grandfather's home.

Everett was born February 11, 1929, in Resaca, Georgia, a son of the late, Claude Alexander and LouElla Barton Greeson.  He was also preceded in death by his wives, Glendal Jean Sitton Greeson, Delores Moore Boyd Greeson and Betty C. Kenemer Greeson, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillie and Homer Ray, Mary Sue and Paul Talley, and Lois and Bill Johnson, his brothers and sisters-in-law, C.W. and Louise Greeson, Ervin and Frances Greeson, Leon Greeson, Benson Greeson, Baxter and Polly Greeson, and Wilburn and Johnnie Greeson.

Everett was a 1947 graduate of Resaca High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Lockheed Aircraft after thirty-four years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dalton, Georgia.

Everett is survived by his son, Aryal Keith Greeson; daughter, LuJean Greeson both of Resaca, GA; sister, Annie Ruth Greeson of Calhoun, GA; sisters-in-law, Mary Greeson of Marietta, GA, and Margaret Greeson of Acworth, GA; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Connie and Darlo Koldenhover of Winston, GA; step-grandchildren, Matthew Howard, Steven Howard, Amanda Greeson, Shaun Greeson and Jennifer Howard; several step-great-grandchildren; his beloved grand cat, "Little Bit"; and many nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Everett Richard Greeson will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Brother Ron Kennedy officiating.  He will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton, Georgia, with military graveside honors provide by the Dalton American Legion Post #112. Honorary pallbearers will be Aryal Greeson, Alan Greeson, David Greeson, Danny Greeson, Gene Greeson, George Eggers, Jerry Fuller and Joey Baker. The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel after 12:00 Noon, Monday until the service hour.
