Ms. Evelyn Rucker Pingleton: age 91 of Berea, KY, passed away October 4, 2023, at Regency Health and Rehab in Dalton, GA. She was born in Rockcastle County, on May 24, 1932 to the late Bill and Cliffie Childs Rucker. She was retired from Dresser Ind. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Pingleton, parents Bill and Cliffie Rucker, sisters Clella Jean Durham, and Jeraldine Morgan.

She is survived by a son James & (Donna) Pingleton of Berea; daughter Gail & (James) Clayton of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandson Jason Azbill of Tunnel Hill, GA; granddaughters Melissa Pingleton, of Berea, KY, Kaitlynne Azbill of Tunnel Hill, GA; step granddaughter Stephanie Clayton of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister Pauline Morgan of Berea, KY; two nieces, and three nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at the hour beginning at 1:00 p.m. located at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea, KY with Rev. Randy McPheran officiating. Interment will be in Madison Memorial Gardens, Richmond with Mike Moberly, Glen Roberts, Larry Kidwell, Doug Dowell, Jason Roca, Mathew Durham, Odel Durham, Owen Durham serving as pallbearers.
