Mr. Eugene Edward Sanford, age 75, of Cisco, Georgia, departed this life, Tuesday May 2, 2017 at the local hospital. Eugene was born November 1, 1941 in Ellijay, GA, a son of the late Grady and Frankie Mae Sanford. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rachel Sanford, stepdaughter, Brenda Pilcher.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Lois Sanford of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Eugene and Darlene Sanford of Chatsworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Anette and Shawn Thornton of Chatsworth, GA; stepchildren, Trammell Pilcher Jr. and Linda Pilcher, Janita Pilcher and Terry Langford of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Geraldine Sanford of Calhoun, GA, Danny and Tammy Sanford, Wayne and Linda Sanford of Chatsworth, GA; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eugene Sanford will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Brian Ergle officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairy Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
