Mr. Eugene Charles Muse, age 84, departed this life Friday October 18, 2019 at the local hospital. He was born November 11, 1934 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Lester and Maggie Gaston Muse. He was also preceded in death by his son, Danny Muse, sisters, Myrtle Davidson, Tommie Lou Amos,  and brothers, Reverend Billy Muse, John "J.L." Muse and Jack Muse. He was a graduate of Valley Point High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for the United States Postal Service from 1961 until he retired in 1989.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Sanford Lancaster of Harrison, TN; son, Mark Muse of California; brothers, Louie and Mildred Muse of Resaca, GA, sister, Linda Rice of Chatsworth, GA; granddaughter, Olivia and Don Frix; great grandson, Daniel Frix; dear friend, Eunice Ledford of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life Mr. Eugene Charles Muse will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Kelly Grant officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his son Danny Muse, at West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
