Mrs. Ethel Melton age 70, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed the life Wednesday July 10, 2013 at the local hospital. Ethel was born March 31, 1943 in Hazzard, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ervin and Silvia Fugate. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Hardy Melton, brothers, Larry, Sam and David Fugate.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Maria Crowley of Marietta, GA, Bill and Angie Crowley of Rocky Face, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Neil Kyle of Varnell, GA, Judy and Darren Smith of Jellico, TN, Kathy Watts, Connie Johnson of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Mollie and James Brown of Crossville, TN; twenty nine grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ethel Melton will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Ponders Melrose Chapel. She will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at, Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
