Mr. Ernest Lee "Blacky" Brown, age 76, of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 29, 1948 in Virginia, a son of the late Franklin and Eda Caroline Spangler Brown. He was preceded in death by his son Andrea Lee Whaley, brothers, George Brown, Elmer Brown, Fres Brown Jr., David Brown, Johnny Brown, sisters, Katherine Brown, Louise Lawson, Ruth Mae Cross.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Sue Brown of the residence; daughters, Christy Brown of Resaca, GA, Diane Curey of Marion, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Vicky Brown, Frank and Charlene Brown of Chatsworth, GA, Joe and Becky Brown of Dalton, GA, Randy and Lillie Brown of Marion, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn "Pinky" and David Cagle of Chatsworth, GA; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ernest Lee "Blacky" Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday November 11, 2024 from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Bill Keeler officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
