Mr. Erik Giovanny Gonzalez, age 22, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born July 2, 1996 in Dalton, Georgia. He was a 2014 graduate of Southeast High School. He loved to listen to music. Conocido tambien comc "El Nino De la Sonrisa"

He is survived by his parents, Jesus Gonzalez and Maria Peinado; brothers, Johnny Gonzalez, Christian Gonzalez and Karen Valencia all of Dalton, GA; sisters, Maria Gonzalez and Alejandro Delgado, Marivel Gonzalez and Emigdio Delgado all of Canton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday November 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Duvan Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
