Mr. Eric Steelman, age 47, of LaFayette, Georgia, and formerly of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, August 28, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born January 3, 1973 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don Steelman, J.C. and Geraldine Jordan.

He is survived by his wife, Tracey Steelman of the residence; parents, Bucky and Pat Steelman of Chatsworth, GA; grandmother Ruth Steelman ;children, Erica and Chavita Perez of Dalton, GA, Gracie Steelman of Calhoun, GA, Dariann Haney of Lafayette, GA, Madyson Webb of Cohutta, GA, Tyler Haney of Chattanooga, TN, Gabriel Haney of Kentucky; brother and sister-in-law, Jamie and Hope Steelman of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Brently, Keigan, Kyleigh, Dawson, Callaia, and Blakely; aunts and uncles, Patty and Clark Patterson, Terri and John Loach, Nancy Jordan, Shelia and Jeremy Johnston; nephews, Cole Steelman, Kaysen Steelman; along with several cousins.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eric Steelman will be held Wednesday September 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Sean Stanfield officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 1, 2020.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
