Mr. Eric Lamar Nix, age 32, of Holly Springs, GA, departed this life, Friday October 11, 2019. He was born January 30, 1987 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Kay LaRue, grandparents, Gladys Cochran Townsend, James Walker Nix, Gerald David LaRue Sr. He served his community as an EMT at West Georgia Ambulance. He was a 2006 honor graduate of Southeast High School.

He is survived by his husband, Kyle Austin Parrott of the residence; his two special Goldendoodles, Lacey and Bailey; grandmother, Wanda Kay Anderson of Dalton, GA; father, Lamar Nix of Lafayette, GA; brother, Cory Dale Ford of Calhoun, GA; uncle, David and Jennifer LaRue of Dalton, GA; cousins, Camron LaRue of Dalton, GA, Amber LaRue of Calhoun, TN.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eric Lamar Nix will be held Friday October 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday. He will be laid to rest beside his mother in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
