Mr. Eric John Lee O'Keeffe, age 30, beloved son, brother, and friend, departed this life Thursday, April 22, 2021, in East Ridge, TN. Eric was born on April 11, 1991, in Snellville, GA. He was born into a military family and spent his childhood moving across the midwest, parts of the east coast and Asia. Wherever he was planted he was always quick to make friends.  Eric was genuine, fun-loving, and easily connected with people. He leaves behind a great emptiness among his family and friends. Throughout his school years he enjoyed and participated in sports, primarily football (lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan). He attended Washington Community High School in Washington, IL, Central Catholic High School in Lafayette, IN and the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN.

Eric is survived by his family, his parents, John and Angelique O'Keeffe of Caledonia, MS; his sisters, Allison O'Keeffe and her spouse Rob Fallon of Seattle, WA and his sister Colleen O'Keeffe and her daughter Harper Schiro of Caledonia, MS. As well as his grandmother, Faye Botto of Lithonia, GA. Eric also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

The service to celebrate the life of Eric John Lee O'Keeffe will be held on, Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Ponders Funeral Home Chattanooga, TN at 1:00 p.m. with Father Dennis O'Keeffe and Pastor David McNabb officiating.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m.  Flowers are not desired.  Instead make donations to TCMidsouth.org (envelopes will be available at the service).
