Mr. Eric Lamar Holmes age 38, of Chatsworth, GA passed away Sunday June 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 19, 1981 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Lamar Holmes, nephew, Steven Holmes, grandparents, Charles J.S. Holmes, Alvin "Beecher Belcher, Anna Faye and Bill DeFriece. Eric loved Georgia Bulldogs Football.

He is survived by his wife whom he has been with for 23 years, Amy Langford Holmes; daughter, Madison Holmes; mother, Shelia Holmes; sister, Melissa Holmes all of Chatsworth, GA; grandmother, Wylene Crowe of Dalton, GA; nieces and nephews, Ashley and Kristen Kriner, Austin Nichols, Jordan Langford; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eric Lamar Holmes will be held Saturday July 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Jason Teasley, Rodney Saylor, Brandon Cross, Justin Saylor and Damien Rodriguez will serve as pallbearers.
