Mr. Eric Applewhite, age 43, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday March 19, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Eric was born July 22, 1972 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Applewhite.

He is survived by his wife, Adrienne Fraser Applewhite; son, Terance Applewhite, daughters, Ekyra Applewhite, Ariana Applewhite all of Dalton, GA; parents, Carolyn and Fred McGruder, M.C. and Elizabeth Applewhite all of Jackson, MS; brother, Tony Applewhite; sister and brother-in-law, Kristie and Anthony Perry all of Columbia, SC; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eric Applewhite will be held Wednesday March 23, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
