Mr. Erasmo "PePaw" Manriquez, age 62, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Erasmo was born April 13, 1961, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, a son of the late Jose and Maria Martinez Manriquez.  He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Edgar Perez. He was employed at Mohawk Industries for many years.

Erasmo is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Maria De Jesus Rodriquez Manriquez of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Maria Manriques of Dalton, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Blanca Manriquez of Chattanooga, TN, Esmeralda Manriquez, Nohemi and Yaser Gomez all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, who called him "PePaw", Victor Guerrero, Levi Perez, Priscila Guerrero, Merari Perez, Gedeon Perez, Israel and Anna Perez, Isai Guerrero, Etzio Gomez, Malik Ramirez, Magaly Ramirez, Amaya Gomez and Asier Gomez; great-grandchildren, Mia Manriquez, Ian Manriquez, Emily Manriquez and Ivyanna Perez; sisters and brother-in-law, Rosa Manriquez, and Raquel and Ramiro Villanueva all of Brownsville, TX; brothers and sister-in-law, Aurelio and Lucia Manriquez of Dalton, GA, and Abel Manriquez of Brownsville, TX; several nieces and nephews.

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Erasmo "PePaw" Manriquez will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gilbardo Guerrero and Reverend Pablo Paredes officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Yaser Gomez, Nathan Manriquez, Silvestre Ramirez, Levi Perez, Victor Guerrero and Aurelio Manriquez, Jr., honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour at 1:00 p.m.
