Obituary

Mrs. Emma Lois "Fritz" Bryan Stephens, also known as "Nana" age 85, of Dalton, Georgia, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Hamilton Medical Center. Fritz as her friends and family knew her, was born August 16, 1930 in Ducktown, TN, to the late Rev. Samuel Wessly Bryan and Opal Estelle Dutton Bryan. Fritz was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Russel Stephens and a brother, Willard Bryan. Fritz loved to write fictional stories and inspirational poems and she was well known for her peanut butter cakes and banana pudding. Fritz was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for sixty years and also a member of Beulah Land Baptist Church for 10 years.

Mrs. Emma Lois "Fritz" Bryan Stephens is survived by her daughter, Diane and Kenneth Harrison of Dalton, GA; sons, Roger and Jeanne Stephens and Brian Stephens all of Dalton, GA; brother, Jerry and Lucille Bryan of Resaca, GA; sister, Patricia and Allan Gunther of Athens GA; grandchildren, Jason and Paula Harrison of Calhoun and Julian Harrison of Dalton, GA; step-grandchildren, Kristie Timmons of Chicago, IL, Tina Allan of Wildomor, CA; step great-grandchildren, Joshua Allan, Jacob Allan, Rebecca Allan all of Wildomor, CA, Meagan Timmons and Briana Timmons, all of Chicago, IL, many nieces and nephews and friends. Fritz was excitedly awaited the birth of her first greatgrandchildren, twins, that will be born in February; also her two fur grandbabies, Babbette and Buddy.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Emma Lois "Fritz" Bryan Stephens will be held, Friday November 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from Beulah Land Baptist Church, with the Rev. Adam Thomas officiating. Burial will take place at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Performing the duties of pallbearers will be Jason Harrison, Julian Harrison, Wesley Bryant, Scott Edwards, David Stephens and Bruce Muse.
The family will received friends Friday November 20, 2015 from 12:00 until 2:30 p.m. from Ponders Calhoun Chapel.
