Ms. Ellaree Crook Smith, age 85, of Fairmount, GA, departed this life, Friday October 13, 2017 at the Regency Park in Dalton, GA. Ellaree was born July 15, 1932 in Calhoun, GA. She was preceded in death by her father Columbus Crook, daughter, Shirlon Annette Bryant, sister-in-law Annette Crook, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Nell and Egan Perry, Elaine Crook, Kenneth Chapman. She is survived by her mother, Odell Hambrick Crook of Fairmount, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Alan Jones of Chatsworth, GA, Michele and Troy Richards of Ringgold, GA; Brother, James Crook: sister, Bertha Mae Chapman of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Lisa and Tommy Payne, Dusty Jones, Leighann Page Richards, Gage Richards; great grandchildren, Makayla Payne and Caleb Jones.Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Ellaree Crook Smith will be held Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Fairmount Chapel, with Reverend Bobby Timms officiating. She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove "Ryo" Baptist Cemetery with Alan Jones, Dusty Jones, Caleb Jones, Tommy Payne, Tommy McHan, and Bill Barrett serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday October 16, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ponders Fairmount Chapel.
