Mrs. Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Nix, age 67, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was born January 27, 1955, in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late Odice and Emma Brooks Raper. She was also preceded in death by her husband Troy Lee Nix Sr, who died February 24, 2021, brothers, Bobby Raper and Tuffy Raper, and a sister, Sue Bruce.

Betty worked at Shaw Plant #4 where she retired after 20 plus years of service.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Odice and Kristen Nix, of Dalton, GA., Troy Lee, Jr. and Jessica Nix of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister, Joyce Creath of Griffin, GA; brother, Johnny Raper of Dawsonville, GA; grandsons, Marcus and James Nix, and Andrew Nix.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Nix will be held Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Nix officiating. Interment will follow the service at Varnell Cemetery with family and close friends honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.
