Ms. Elicia Lynn Mathis Whaley, age 60, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, September 15, 2023 in Chatsworth, Georgia. She was born October 13, 1962 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Huedon and Viola Putnam Mathis.

She is survived by her children, Destiny and Steven McCammon of Rossville, GA, Ashley and Daniel Johnson of Lafayette, GA, Ian Swafford of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Makinnah, Austin, Channing, Paisley, Scarlett, Adaline, Marlene; siblings, Wade and Darla Mathis, Vanessa and Bart Crawford of Dalton, GA, Tammy and Jody Brock of Armuchee, GA; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Elicia Lynn Mathis Whaley will be held Friday September 22, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Jeff Bramblett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
