Mrs. Eleanor "Ellie" Margaret Szollosi age 93 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Sunday May 1, 2022 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1929 in Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late Edward and Mae Durica Smith. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Michael "Joe" Szollosi. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tammy Szollosi of Ooltewah, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Bob Mekenney of Fairfax, VA, Nancy Szollosi of Dalton, GA, Caroline and Keith Hedrick of Rocky Face, GA; sister, Carol Putz of Mt. Dumplin, MA; grandchildren, Jonathan Mekenney, Christopher Mekenney and Kerry Loughney, Hannah Fletcher and Richard Potter, Jay Fletcher, Mary Kate Fletcher, Joey and Bri Szollosi, Sarah Hedrick, Rachel and Jonathan Ashley; great grandchildren, Levi, Abby, Walker, Cooper, her special fur baby Sophia.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday May 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Tim Nadolski officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
