Mr. Edward “William” Jones, age 74 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life early Thursday morning, March 26, 2026 at Ridgewood Manor Health in Dalton, Georgia. He was born October 20, 1951 in Ellijay, Georgia, a son of the late Ralph Hoss, and Frankie Rogers Jones. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Becky Jones, brother Timothy Jones, sister Cathey Cordeila Queen.

He is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Daniel and Brenda Jones of Cartersville, GA, Mark Jones of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Janell Taylor of Dalton, GA, Diane and Gordon Harrison of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Edward “William” Jones will be held Sunday March 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bruce Beach officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
