Mrs. Edna Claudette "Sis" Williams, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday evening, September 11, 2025, at the home of her son in Calhoun, Georgia.

Sis was born May 4, 1943, in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Jack C. and Bessie R. Defore Shoemaker. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband and lifelong teammate on the road and in life, Bobby Ray Williams; daughter-in-law, Pam Williams; sisters, Virginia "Louise" Arrington and Betty (Ralph) Scott; brothers, Riley "Bud" Shoemaker and Jerry "Pete" Shoemaker; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Charlie and Beulah Williams; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Faye and Billy Green, Gladys and Grady Jackson, Horace and Louise Williams, John Nicholson, Emmett and Willene Williams, Frank Williams, and Melvis Lybrand.

Sis was a woman of truth, love, and unwavering devotion. She and her beloved husband, Bobby Ray, shared many years on the open road as team truck drivers, traveling across the country together. Driving was not just a job for Sis — it was her passion, a reflection of her adventurous spirit and the special bond she shared with her husband. Together, they built a life full of love, hard work, and dedication to one another. Above all, Sis cherished her family deeply and loved them without question. She was known for always speaking the truth, guiding her loved ones with honesty and care.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie and Ricky Whidden of Calhoun, GA; sons, Robert Williams of Cohutta, GA, Darrin and Gina Williams, and Don and Meleah Williams all of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Shane and Crystal Shelton, Jared Williams, Mandy Tyndall, Christa and Rickey Locke, Travis Whidden, Robbie Williams, Pam Grasso, Mya Grasso, Chole Tindall, Shelby and Eduardo Santos, and Bobbirae Williams; great-grandchildren, Wesley Shelton, Cohen Shelton, Emily Williams, Austin Wallhausen, Jaci Snyder, Bailee Locke, Christian Tyndall, and Ansleigh Whidden; one great-great-granddaughter, Amara Tyndall; sister, Mary Lee "Sally" Lybrand of Dalton, GA; sisters-in-law, Nellie Shoemaker and Marcelle Nicholson of Chatsworth, GA; special niece, Trisha and Ricky Wheat of Chatsworth; and several other nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Edna C. "Sis" Williams will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with her nephews, Reverend Michael Nicholson, and Reverend Gary Shoemaker, officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Freewill Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery in Rocky Face, Georgia. Her grandsons and great-grandsons, Shane Shelton, Robbie Williams, Jared Williams, Wesley Shelton, Cohen Shelton, Eduardo Santos, Rickey Locke and Travis Whidden will serve as pallbearers, honoring her legacy of strength and love.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday morning after 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
