Mrs. Edna Earline Potts Head, age 84, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Hamilton Medical Center. Edna was born July 1, 1928, a daughter of the late Fred and Madeline Hayes Potts. She was also preceded in death by husband, Earnest H. Head Jr., brother, William "Dub" Potts. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She truly loved her family and she will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Wes Norris of Dalton, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Debra Head of Ringgold, GA, Ricky and Susan Head of Dalton, GA; sister, Juree Potts of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Nikki and William Hill, John Alex Head, Andrew Head; great grandchildren, Braden Keeler, Madison Harris, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Edna Earline Potts Head will be held Friday June 7, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dr. Rodger Whorton and Reverend Mark Amspaugh officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Dug Gap Baptist Church Cemetery with David Swilling, Braden Keeler, Hunter Rogers, Timmy Ponders and William Hill serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday.
