Mrs. Edna Sylvia Gean Carroll , age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the local hospital. Edna was born June 10, 1947 in Chatsworth, GA, a daughter of the late Joe Kimsey and Sylvia Patterson Burke.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Millsap, Tommy and Diane Millsap all of Dalton, GA, Kimsey and Darlene Millsap of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maybell and Earl Shoemaker, Ruby and Ralph Hickey, Wanda Winkler, Jo Ann Moore all of Chatsworth, GA; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Edna Sylvia Gean Carroll will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bobby Green officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Mt Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday
